I grew up in Montreal and have been interested by music at a very young age. My musical career began in the 70’s, playing with several rock bands, while being very much influenced by the prog rock era and the whole British rock scene. You might have seen me touring Quebec and Ontario with several rock bands like Dogz, The Michael Breen band, and more, or even briefly touring with Garolou in 1978, temporarily replacing their injured bass player, and also very active in the blues/rock scene for several years with the likes of Bob Walsh, Jimmy James, Carl Tremblay, Jim Zeller and many others, and playing and acting with Richard Desjardins in Pierre Falardeau’s movie Le party.
In the early 2000, I actively worked in the video games industry as a game designer, sound designer and audio post-production engineer for a few years and later spent some time behind the scene, taking care of many technical aspects of major scale live music productions such as Gregory Charles, the Mondial Choral, Montreal International Jazz Festival and more. In the meantime, I always kept performing behind the bass, live on stage, mainly at that time with the YES tribute act "Close To The Edge". In 2008, I had the chance to talk to Chris Squire about CTTE, and it turned out that he really enjoyed watching our live YouTube videos and consequently recommended for everyone to come and see the band. To make a long story short, later the same year our former singer was recruited by YES for the «In The Present» tour, and has contributed as an official member of the band to more than 200 concerts and to the «Fly From Here» and «In The Present - Live From Lyon» albums. Following that unusual event, I of course had to get busy finding the right people to reform CTTE with a new singer and guitarist. Since I joined April Wine, I had to put CTTE on hiatus.
During the following period of time, I was invited to collaborate to the album One Among The Living from Montreal’s cutting edge prog-rock band Mystery. Since 2002 I've also been playing with the group Premier Ciel who is rendering a vibrant tribute to one of Quebec's most iconic band of the 70's: Harmonium.
In early 2011, I was totally honoured and thrilled to accept April Wine’s invitation to join the band!! Since then we've been going on touring Canada and the USA non stop and now with a new line-up in 2023, April Wine is in a strong position to continue its legacy as one of Canada’s most iconic rock bands.
My main influences on bass include Chris Squire, John Wetton, John Entwistle and John Paul Jones.
